Mac OS 7
Mac OS 7 otherwise referred to as System 7.0 was the operating system to run on the 1980 Macintosh computer. It kick-started a revolution in personal computing. In this tutorial I am going to cover the very simple process of how you can emulate Mac OS 7 on your Windows PC. So let's begin...
First...download the files :)
You can download all of the Mac OS 7 Emulator files from our Mediafire page. Just click this link and hit download! It's only about 4MB so it shouldn't take too long.
Now...extract the files :)
Navigate to where you downloaded the file and extract it to your desktop.
OK...nearly there :)
Open the new Mac OS file and extract the the hfs24M.zip file. Like so...
Let's do a little install...
Drag the Install 1.image file onto the Mini vMac file. You will here a long beep and see the beginning of the installer in a small window. Don't try to resize this! Click OK.
Go back to the Mac OS folder and drag the hfs24M.DSK file into your Mini vMac window (NOT THE PROGRAM IN THE FOLDER)!
Click Install and wait for the installer to complete. Around the middle, it says 'Please Insert the disk: Install 2'...just simply go back to your Mac OS folder and drag the Install 2.image into the Mini vMac window. Repeat this process for every disk the installer asks you for...just drag the file onto the Mini vMac window.
You should see this screen. Press Quit. To get the emulator up just open the Mini vMac program and drag on the hfs24M.DSK file on the window. To make it full-screen just press Ctrl + F.
